The UM and LM IDBs have been operational throughout the pandemic but office staff are currently working from home as per government guidelines. The Boards consider the health and safety of our staff the main priority and have developed systems that reflect the seriousness of this situation.

The Boards have also taken steps to ensure they can continue their work and govern their respective districts effectively by introducing standing orders to allow decisions to be made via virtual means. This allows for both committee and full board meetings to occur throughout the restrictions.

To see what steps we are taking to ensure the safety of our staff please see the link below. It should be noted that office visits are being kept to an absolute minimum and only if virtual conferencing is not available.

Although the office is closed to outside impromptu visits we are still available on the phone or via email This address is monitored daily and we will endeavour to respond as soon as is possible. As we move into what is often the most turbulent time of year for flood risk, calls to our office number will be the best option for reporting incidents that require immediate action.

Should you be in danger of flood or think that flooding is inevitable follow the information from the Government which can be found here. Alternatively, your local flood warden or flood group will be the best port of call.
